It’s the beginning of a new era for Steve Hansen’s men, as they tackle the Welsh in the 2016 Steinlager Series.
2016 is also a special year for Steinlager, marking 30 years since first signing its iconic sponsorship of the All Blacks back in 1986. The partnership is New Zealand’s longest standing sports sponsorship, and one that is guaranteed through until at least 2020.
Steve Tew, New Zealand Rugby Chief Executive, says: “We’ve enjoyed and celebrated many of New Zealand rugby’s greatest moments with Steinlager so we’d like to thank them for their unwavering support over the past 30 years.”
After the first meetings on June 11 in Auckland and in Wellington on June 18, the final battle in Dunedin on June 25, will round out the Series. Over the weekend, the All Blacks were able to dominate Wales in the second half, winning 36-22 in Wellington.
Michael Taylor from Steinlager says, “Steinlager is extremely proud to once again partner the All Blacks as they take on the Welsh in the June Steinlager Series. We’re incredibly proud of our 30-year sponsorship of the team.”
