A new range of 100% natural frozen convenience snack meals is finding its way into freezers across New Zealand. The Tomorrow’s Meals range is described as “new generation, single serve, frozen food”. This completely natural range of snack meals is crafted using only those ingredients you would find in your kitchen at home. The snack meals are affordably priced at less than $5, meaning busy families are now discovering the convenience of having tasty, natural and wholesome meals handily stashed in the freezer.
A spokesperson for Tomorrow’s Meals says that when they set about developing the range, they asked themselves “How can we entice Kiwis back to the freezer and break down that age old perception that all frozen meals taste like bad TV dinners?”
The challenge was to produce traditional, Kiwi dinner favourites that actually tasted homemade.
“We are resolute in our commitment to only making good kiwi family food that uses ‘real food’ ingredients. That means we only source NZ grown 100% meat cuts, never processed or pumped meat. We use real butter and we grate our own cheese. We don’t source any of our dairy products in powder form. Our potatoes actually arrive at our kitchen looking like a potato. We don’t pour them out of a bag and rehydrate them with water. We actually mash them. We also hand pack all our meals, which are produced in small batches, just as you would at home. It’s not ground breaking, rocket science – it’s just good honest home-style cooking.”
Tomorrow’s Meals snack meals are 100% natural – unique in their category. They can be heated directly from frozen and come in a dual ovenable tray for use in a microwave or conventional oven. There are ‘no added gluten’ options too for those who are gluten intolerant. Tomorrow’s Meals are arriving at a range of major supermarkets throughout New Zealand, including New World, Pak‘nSave, select Countdown supermarkets and speciality food stores, says the spokesperson.
