SIAL, the world’s largest food innovation exhibition, kicks off in Paris, France on 16th October.
In the lead up to the event, prizes are awarded to the innovators who help shape the future of the food and beverage industry. A carrot liqueur, quinoa-based desserts and organic seaweed products were among the 15 category winners in the SIAL Innovation Awards this year.
“The food world is constantly swinging between new technological and digital innovations, and a desire to go ‘back to basics’,” said a spokesperson. SIAL Paris confirms this once again with 2,188 products from 942 companies in competition for the prestigious SIAL Innovation Awards. Over 600 were presented to a 19-member international jury for deliberation in Paris, so choosing winners for all 15 categories was no mean feat.
The three best innovations will be revealed during the SIAL Innovation Ceremony on October 17th.
Visitors to SIAL Paris will find all these innovations at the SIAL Innovation Observatory – a space that reveals the show’s innovative offerings and analyses consumer trends – and in the SIAL Trends book 2016.
