Savvy shoppers in Papakura have likely observed a noteworthy transformation in their local grocery store. As part of an ongoing commitment to delivering superior value, product diversity, and great selection to customers, Papakura’s SuperValue store has proudly evolved into FreshChoice.
Owners Kuldeep and Shital Patel share their motivation behind this transition.
“Our goal is to provide our loyal customers with an efficient shopping experience and top-tier product quality. The transition to FreshChoice perfectly aligns us with other franchise stores. It enables us to provide many advantages, including an enhanced fresh food and grocery assortment, new and efficient checkouts, and an expanded product range presented in an appealing new ambiance,” Kuldeep Patel said.
“This rebranding exemplifies our dedication to providing efficient service, premium-quality products, and a vibrant, locally inspired shopping atmosphere. We eagerly look forward to becoming a cornerstone of the Papakura community, where our commitment and enthusiasm will continue to shine as brightly as ever,” Kuldeep said.
General Manager Franchise, Tim Cartwright said of the move: “We currently have 46 well-established FreshChoice stores and are progressing with converting the remaining 27 SuperValue stores into FreshChoice. With an ambitious network expansion plan, we plan to expand our FreshChoice supermarket chain to 200 stores by 2034, ensuring greater convenience and choice for Kiwis”.
“We embrace our distinctiveness,” Cartwright continues, “and Papakura’s transition to FreshChoice exemplifies our commitment to offering the local community a unique and innovative shopping experience that blends the best of ‘fresh’ with ‘local’.”
Woolworths New Zealand, the parent company of Countdown and Woolworths supermarkets, operates as the franchisor of 72 independent supermarkets. The current consolidation process integrates SuperValue and FreshChoice under the unified FreshChoice banner.
