Brother Design’s packaging for Foodstuffs’ private brand Pams continues to shine on the international stage with their latest designs being picked as some of the best in the world. For the third year in a row, Pams packaging has beaten numerous retail giants from across the globe, scooping four Golds at the prestigious design awards.
The Vertex Awards is the only international show devoted exclusively to packaging design for private brands. Entries range from supermarkets to DIY chains and pet stores which come from all corners of the globe. This year’s competition included more than 250 entries from 23 countries and 59 retailers.
The competition is now in its third year, having seen its awards fought over by the likes of Lidl, Woolworths and Marks & Spencer as well as boutique stores. Pams won four Golds out of 22 awarded – more than any other single retailer.
Foodstuffs’ National Private Label Manager, Jocelyn McCallum says, “It’s really rewarding to be acknowledged by our peers internationally. But what really counts is success in our home marketplace. I’m pleased that our approach is resonating with consumers and continuing to build sales. It’s a great credit to our design partners at Brother Design, who understand our brand so well and keep producing fresh, creative work.”
The winning work was created by three different senior designers at Brother Design. For Creative Director, Paula Bunny, that’s significant: “It shows strength in depth and a seamless team approach to incoming design briefs.”
Brother Design also won Silver for the new design of Pams snack nut range.
