As a throwback and a renewed push for information, the Australian police are using faces on milk bottles to try and track down missing Australians.
Canberra Milk worked with the Australian Federal Police to put the faces of 12 missing people from around the region printed onto the companies 1-litre plastic milk bottles.
The initiative will run for six weeks, encouraging people to share any tips they may have regarding the missing people.
AFP Assistant Commissioner Debbie Platz said the initiative would take people back: “to when reports of missing people appeared in a place guaranteed to catch the eyes of the broader population”.
“In turn, we hope this tried-and-tested method will start a new conversation about the region’s missing people and how the community can help police find them.”
