As New Zealand’s first degree solely focused on retail, Massey University’s Bachelor of Retail and Business Management represents a key milestone in retail education.

Developed in partnership with some of New Zealand’s best-known and respected retailers, the programme is based around core business and management subjects, combined with industry-related retail content. Students can opt to specialise in areas including: design, marketing, logistics and supply chain management, valuation and property management, and banking.
The programme focuses on developing the skills students will need in the real world of work and employment. It involves classroom teaching alongside three mandatory internships, high profile industry guest speakers, simulations, and field visits. Throughout the programme, students practise the skills of analysis, creativity and evaluation, as well as the more practical skills of communication and teamwork.
Students can take advantage of various international exchange opportunities in the UK, Europe, and North America. The programme’s unique industry advisory board also ensures that the Bachelor of Retail and Business Management remains both practically and academically relevant and up-to-date.
