Aussies prefer local products

Amid the current call for improved country-of-origin food labelling in Australia, the latest findings from Roy Morgan Research reveal that the proportion of Australians 14+ years of age who are more likely to buy food if it is labelled ‘Made in Australia’ increased from 85% to 88% over the last two years.

Black market tobacco robs honest retailers more than ever

The latest independent research from KPMG into black market tobacco consumption in Australia shows that illegal tobacco represented 14.5% of total consumption last year, with nearly 2.6 million kilograms consumed, which the Australasian Association of Convenience Stores (AACS)* says is robbing honest retailers of legal tobacco sales.
