Aldi has been named Supermarket of the Year 2022 in Roy Morgan’s Customer Satisfaction Awards for the third consecutive year.
Aldi scored an average customer satisfaction rating of 96.1 per cent, which Simon Padovani-Ginies, Group Buying Director, said demonstrates the company’s ability to deliver the absolute best quality at the lowest possible price, which resonates with Aussie shoppers.
“We are thrilled ALDI has won a spot in the hearts and back pockets of Aussie shoppers to be named Australia’s Best Supermarket of the Year by Roy Morgan for the third consecutive year. The achievement has only been possible through one simple and consistent commitment – high quality products at the lowest possible prices.”
Roy Morgan’s customer satisfaction ratings are the world’s most comprehensive ongoing single-source survey, calculated from an annual face-to-face survey of around 60,000 Australians.
Michele Levine, CEO of Roy Morgan, said ALDI has once again excelled in 2022 as the supermarket that delivers the highest level of customer satisfaction to its customers.
“Aldi had a ‘perfect’ year in 2022 by winning all 12 months with an average customer satisfaction rating of an exceptional 96.1 per cent to lead all other rivals in the category. This is the sixth Supermarket of the Year win for ALDI at the Customer Satisfaction Awards and its third in a row after wins in 2012, 2014, 2016, 2020, and 2021. The consistent high level of customer satisfaction for ALDI is matched by the high level of trust people have in ALDI – consistently one of Australia’s top five most trusted brands.”
Padovani-Ginies explained that Aldi’s business model is about saving people money by cutting our unnecessary costs and passing these savings onto customers.
“This has never been tested more than it was in the past year, and we’re proud that we’ve been able to maintain our low-price leadership, delivering real money back in the pockets of Australians when they need it most.”
