Entries for the 2023 New Zealand Food Awards are now open.
New Zealand food or beverage producers, large or small, looking to make their mark on the industry should submit their entries this May.
The Awards provide a platform to showcase excellence, gain recognition from industry experts, and leverage credibility offered to Finalists and Winners.
For more than 35 years the New Zealand Food Awards, owned and operated by Te Kunenga ki Pūrehuroa Massey University, has played an integral role in the industry, celebrating innovation, excellence, and sustainability, and highlighting the importance of science and food technology in Aotearoa.
The New Zealand Food Awards deliver an opportunity for all players ranging from primary food producers to food service providers, ingredient supply companies, and everything in between to get involved.
There are 10 categories this year judged across two areas: Product Awards and Business Awards. Each category has set criteria and only entrants exhibiting the highest levels of the Award’s core values of innovation, sustainability, and excellence will progress to being named a Finalist, Winner, and Supreme Winner.
The rigorous judging process is built on the pillars of technical capability, consumer acceptability, regulatory compliance, and food quality and safety.
A judging panel of New Zealand’s leading food and beverage experts is appointed to represent a cross-section of industry disciplines, including technical judges, sustainability and commercial specialists, scientific experts, regulatory guides, and more. This ensures consumers can trust any brand wearing the New Zealand Food Awards quality mark.
Entries are open from 1-31 May at the New Zealand Food Awards online entry portal.
Finalists will be announced on 16 August. Category Winners and the Supreme Winner will be announced at the gala dinner at the Aotea Centre in Auckland on 19 October.
