Rugby legend Dan Carter visited Waiheke High School on Thursday (21 July, 2016), where he presented a cheque for $10,000 for new sports gear to the students after Waiheke Island local Jane Scarles won a Healtheries promotion. The students also got to enjoy a rugby skill session with Dan.
In March, Healtheries ran a promotion in Countdown supermarkets nationwide: ‘Win $10,000 in sports gear delivered by Dan Carter to your school’. Jane won and nominated Waiheke High School to be the lucky recipient of the prize. Jane also received a $1000 prize for herself.
Dan Carter joined the Healtheries team as a brand ambassador three years ago. This is the fourth time he has presented a $10,000 sports gear prize in his role as Healtheries brand ambassador.
