Coca-Cola Amatil (CCA) has secured a 20 year multi-million dollar distribution contract for MONSTER ENERGY drinks across New Zealand and Australia. This follows the announcement of Monster Beverage Corporation’s long-term strategic partnership with The Coca-Cola Company (TCCC) in June 2015 to take ownership of all TCCC Energy brands, including Mother and Lift Plus in New Zealand.
The new contract between Coca-Cola Amatil and Monster Energy Company, a subsidiary of Monster Beverage Corporation, takes effect in New Zealand from 9 May 2016.
Coca-Cola Amatil (NZ) Managing Director, Chris Litchfield, said that he was excited by the new partnership which will only increase the already extensive portfolio of CCA premium brands in New Zealand. “Monster Energy is not only a global leader in the energy category but Monster is also one of the fastest growing beverage and lifestyle brands in the world. We are very excited to bring this opportunity to our retail partners and look forward to providing New Zealand consumers with even more great choices,” he said.
“We are confident that we will reinvigorate the energy category for our retailers here in New Zealand and we can’t wait to get going.”
MONSTER ENERGY will be increasing its marketing investment across both New Zealand and Australia in the coming years to more broadly engage its legion of fans.
