MPI has issued a Chief Executive Privileged Statement under Section 289 of the Food Act 2014.
The following coconut milk drinks have the presence of an undeclared allergen, that being milk and milk products. People with a milk allergy or intolerance should not consume these products:
Greentime brand Coconut Milk Drink is sold in a 500ml can.
Coco Joy brand Pure Coconut Milk Drink (Banana, Chocolate and Coffee Flavours) is sold in a 500ml plastic bottle.
V Fresh brand Coconut Milk Drink is sold in a 240ml can.
Orthodox Coconut Palm brand Coconut Palm Coconut Juice is sold in a 245ml can, 245ml Tetra-pak or 1000ml Tetra-pak.
All batches and sizes of these products are affected. These products have been sold through various retailers throughout New Zealand including dairies, ethnic food stores and specialist sports stores. These products are imported to NZ.
