The New Zealand Food and Grocery Council is pleased to announce the appointment of Fonterra Brands New Zealand Managing Director Tim Deane to its Board.
“Tim’s extensive dairy industry experience and strong track record across a variety of industries, including the FMCG sector, and pharmaceutical, financial services and tourism industries, will be an asset to the Board,” says Food & Grocery Council Chairman Pierre van Heerden.
“The composition of the Food and Grocery Council Board is very important. We represent small, medium and large members, so having New Zealand’s largest company represented on the Board complements the Board composition.”
Deane was appointed Managing Director, Fonterra Brands New Zealand, in August last year. He is responsible for Fonterra’s consumer business in New Zealand and the Pacific which includes well-known brands Anchor, Tip Top, Mainland, Fresh ’n Fruity and Kapiti, along with rural retailer Farm Source. Previously, he was Director of Global Sales for Fonterra’s ingredients business.
Deane said: “Being on the Board of the Food and Grocery Council and representing the manufacturers and suppliers behind the country’s food, beverage and grocery brands is an important job and I am honoured to be appointed.”
