ASB Accept mPOS will securely accept payments by both EFTPOS and credit cards, and will even email receipts to customers instantly. Nate Dunn, from Tuihana cafe in Mt Eden, trialled the new device at the recent Gather tech conference. From 8am to 4pm, the cafe’s baristas raced through about 400 coffees with 80 hot drinks served in the busiest hour. “The terminal worked really well, the transactions were really quick, and it’s a cool little bit of kit.” He says customers were impressed with the new technology and there was minimal staff training required. “All the feedback was good, it worked really well.”
