Auckland Airport scooped several awards at the 2014 SKYTRAX World Airport Awards, which were held recently in Spain.
Auckland Airport was named:
* Best Airport in Australia Pacific (for sixth year in a row)
* Best Airport Staff Service in Australia Pacific (for third year running)
* Second Best Airport in the world serving 10-20 million passengers
* 11th Best Airport in the world.
The SKYTRAX World Airport Awards are the industry’s most extensive and credible air traveller-based awards, involving a nine-month survey of 12 million airport customers from over 100 different nationalities.
Adrian Littlewood, Auckland Airport Chief Executive, says the airport is delighted by the announcement. “Being ranked the second best airport in the world for our size and 11th best airport in the world overall – up from 12th last year – is also a great honour and we can all be proud of these achievements.”
